Is it ok to continue selling during a physical count?
The system does not stop you from selling, receiving or transferring products. HOWEVER, ideally you should only do physical counts when the store is closed and no transactions are taking place.
If you do choose to continue on business as usual, you’ll need to:
- Keep track of everything that gets sold, received, or transferred, and account for that in your counts;
- Be sure that the snapshot is taken immediately before opening the store or doing any transactions;
- Confirm all Point of Sale workstations are communicating with the Back Office sync_server.
