Setting up store specific pricing

Circumstances may arise where pricing for products may differ from store to store. For example, a store in a remote location may have higher prices due to shipping costs compared to a store in an urban location.

Whatever the reason, the Aralco system allows you to use Price Zones as a means to provide different prices depending on the store the product is sold out of.

Here are the steps necessary to setup up Price Zones for store specific product pricing:

  1. Within Back Office navigate to File » System Options » Price Zones, and select Add. Give the new Price Zone a name, and a description. Use the “Import prices from” drop down to select an existing price zone (Current is the default) to import existing prices into the new zone;

  2. Each store by default will use the “Current” or a blank price zone if none are assigned. Go into File » Stores, and change the Price Zone drop down to point to the applicable price zone;
  3. Within Products on the Pricing tab, there is a Zone drop down which lists all of the Prize Zones. By selecting a prize zone from the list you’ll see the pricing specific to that zone, and make any changes. You can also apply price changes from one zone to all zones by clicking the Apply button;
  4. To make mass updates to a price zone, you can use the Product » Price Updates feature. Follow this link for more information.

Please note that any changes to the Stores will not take effect until the changes are received at the registers, and they are then able to log out and back in. Also, when doing mass price updates, allow sufficient time for the changes to make there way to the stores.
